App Security Report Examines 'Fragility Of Open Source'

The perpetual security problem of using open source software that may contain flaws or vulnerabilities was once again highlighted in an application security study.
Coming from AppSec specialist Veracode, the State of Software Security 2023 report examines .NET, Java and JavaScript apps. The firm's 13th such annual report is based on data collected from Veracode services and customers, including many scans of various types. The report includes findings about applications that were subjected to static analysis, dynamic analysis, software composition analysis and/or manual penetration testing.
