In fact, the IEEE Computer Society (CS) recently predicted that, 'New software for the development and deployment of next-generation computing components, systems, and platforms 'will' enable a transition to a compute continuum with strong capacities at the edge and far edge in an energy efficient and trustworthy manner,' among other technology advancements.
