This public cloud tale may sound familiar to you seasoned IT leaders.
You began your foray into the public cloud with a few controlled applications. You gained speed and velocity through elastic compute, storage and other services, as well as perceived cost advantages by embracing an OPEX model. Years passed and your consumption scaled due to business growth, but your apps also became more expensive to run. Eventually, you came to question the cost benefits of running certain workloads in the public cloud versus on premises.
