Adopting a multicloud IT strategy has become a key enabler of digital transformation. For organizations across nearly every industry, from healthcare to retail, and companies of all sizes, multicloud is the predominant choice. A Forrester report found that 60% of surveyed technology practitioners and decision-makers were currently using multicloud, and during the following year, that number would swell to 81%.
That's because a multicloud approach can help provide the agility, scalability and cost predictability needed to spur innovative growth. But leveraging multiple public and private clouds can also add complexity, prohibiting teams from reaching their full creative potential. The same Forrester report found that a lack of in-house skills (41%) and inconsistent workflows across cloud environments (30%) are hindering multicloud success.
