The Why and How of Human Centered Data Science

Despite the interest and press around generative AI and LLMs, these models raise many ethical questions such as what training data was used, how that training data was obtained, how the data creators are recognized, and how the output of those models might be used.

The recent rise of generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) like Open AI's ChatGPT and Google's Bard have gotten a lot of press this year, which have raised critical ethical questions. In this session, you will receive a brief overview of human centered data science, the importance of taking a human centered approach to data science, and helpful tools to help data scientists implement a human centered approach.
