Credentials are the number-one attack vector in the cloud, and threat actors are increasingly using zero-day vulnerabilities to gain access to stolen credentials and laterally creep through cloud environments to cause harm.
Because applications can be spun up and taken down quickly using automation technology like infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and containers, excessive entitlements and misconfigurations can easily propagate.
