The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a double-edged sword when it comes to cybersecurity. As technology advances, threat actors can also leverage it for malicious attacks.
At Mandiant, consultants have been leveraging AI to analyse threat actors' smart contracts, investigate on an alert for a PowerShell script reducing investigation time, and increase speed of malware analysis. The company's Chief Technology Officer for APAC, Steve Ledzian, believes in AI's ability for threat detection, repetitive tasks elimination and digital transformation.
