Two years ago, I conducted interviews with a dozen CIOs to explore the core challenges faced by current CIOs. Unanimously, they identified the persistence of manual processes within IT as a primary obstacle.
There was a consensus that future CIOs need a solution to automate these processes. It also became abundantly clear that to automate IT processes required solving another fundamental challenge: Having complete and accurate data regarding an organization's entire technology landscape. As former Cisco CIO G. Diaz put it during our interview: 'Automating with garbage data just makes the garbage go faster.' But why did these dozen CIOs believe current solutions in the market not provide a sufficient answer?
