In many organizations, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) focuses mainly - and sometimes exclusively - on cybersecurity.

According to Gartner, regulatory pressure and attack surface expansion will result in 45% of CISOs' remits expanding beyond cybersecurity by 2027.
