Veeam Continues To Champion Data Resilience By Signing Cisa Secure By Design Pledge
Veeam News, Tuesday, August 20th, 2024
Veeam signed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Secure By Design Pledge underlining its commitment to power data resilience for customers to keep their business running no matter what happens.
CISA's Secure by Design pledge is a voluntary pledge for enterprise software products and services - including on-premises software, cloud services, and software as a service (SaaS) - in line with CISA's Secure by Design principles.
This pledge seeks to complement and build on existing software security best practices, including those developed by CISA, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), other federal agencies, and international and industry best practices. The Secure by Design pledge is a good faith promise to make demonstratable and measurable progress across a set of seven shared focus areas, which multi-factor authentication (MFA), default passwords, reducing entire classes of vulnerability, security patches, vulnerability disclosure policy, common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE), and evidence of intrusions. In the spirit of transparency, Veeam is encouraged to share with CISA within one year their approach and development so that others can learn and benefit from their progress.
