Cognitive Bias in Business Analysis (Oct. 24th)

The IIBA South Florida Chapter welcomes Rachel Bachmann to speak to us on "Cognitive Bias in Business Analysis" at our next virtual webinar. With over 10 years of experience in software selection, Rachel Bachmann has witnessed firsthand how cognitive bias can significantly impact decision-making throughout the selection process.

In her role as a business analyst, Rachel has been responsible for eliciting requirements, producing Request for Proposal documents, establishing weighting and decision criteria, and presenting the analysis of vendor responses. Through concrete examples, she will illustrate how cognitive biases, such as recency and confirmation bias, can influence management decisions and will provide strategies to mitigate these biases throughout the process.
