Inkscape 1.4 has been released today for this powerful open-source, cross-platform, and free SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) editor, a major release that introduces new features and many improvements.
Coming more than 1 year and four months after Inkscape 1.3, the Inkscape 1.4 release introduces a new Filter Gallery dialog to make it easier to find the best filter for your needs, new grid selector buttons to make it easier to identify the grid of your choice, and new modular grids to plan layouts and create icons.
This release also introduces a unified font browser preview to let you quickly browse through your font collection, adds support for internal links in exported PDF files, adds support for customizing the styling and basic shape of all the handles, adds support for open Affinity Designer files, and implements more than 500 new icons in the Dash theme.
