AI Hallucination
Analytics Insight, Friday, November 29th, 2024
AI hallucination is a phenomenon where an artificial intelligence model, such as a large language model (LLM) or a computer vision tool, generates outputs that are nonsensical or factually incorrect.
This happens when the AI perceives patterns or objects that do not exist or are imperceptible to human observers.
Types of AI Hallucination
Visual Hallucination: Visual hallucinations occur in computer vision models when they generate false or misleading visual information. For example, an AI might detect objects or patterns in an image that do not exist, such as seeing a second track on a single-track railway.
