Hey Programmers - Is AI Making Us Dumber?

I don't want to sound like an aging boomer, yet when I see junior programmers relying on AI tools like Copilot, Claude, or GPT for simple coding tasks, I wonder if they're doing themselves more harm than good.
It's made doing simple jobs much easier, but it's only by learning the skills you need for minor tasks that you can master the abilities you must have for major jobs.
