For the most part, hiring intentions have been holding steady. But seismic shifts in job openings are underway. Here's a look at the hot job opportunities the experts say are rising from the rubble this year.
One could be forgiven for finding comfort in the numbers. Job openings, hires, quits, layoffs and discharges, and total separations rates showed little or no change in the month of November 2024, according to the latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey program of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The lull isn't likely to last this first quarter of 2025. At the end of last year, disruption was already boiling underneath.
