Flexera's 2025 State of the Cloud report reveals cloud cost challenges reign supreme as FinOps adoption rises and AI usage soars, with minimal workload repatriation.
The cost of cloud services continues to be a big challenge for most organizations.
That's one of the top findings in Flexera's 14th annual State of the Cloud Report. Concerns about cost aren't new for 2025; last year's report found similar challenges as well as continued adoption.
This year's State of the Cloud Report is based on responses from more than 750 technical professionals and executive leaders worldwide. The report paints a picture of cloud computing at a critical inflection point - with over half of enterprise workloads now running in public clouds, organizations are simultaneously expanding their cloud footprints, adopting cutting-edge AI capabilities, and scrambling to get costs under control.
