Cyberattacks on critical infrastructure are on the rise, driven by supply chain vulnerabilities, bad actors exploiting small and midsize businesses (SMBs) as entry points into larger organizations, and the rapid pace of digitalization.

Internet of Things (IoT) devices have connected industrial settings and physical environments to digital networks, enhancing monitoring and management. But this connectivity has also introduced new entry points for cyber threats. In 2025, the threat of cyberattacks on critical infrastructure most likely will remain significant.
