MITRE Impact Report 2024: Strengthening Threat-Informed Defenses

In today's volatile cyberthreat landscape, clarity can be as elusive as it is essential. Cyber defenders face adversaries who adapt and hide effortlessly; and the difference between a secure environment and one that opens the door to a vulnerability often hinges on how well we understand those adversaries.
No single organization can effectively disrupt the threat actor community alone, making collaboration across the public and private sectors a key element in halting cybercrime. Five years ago, MITRE founded its Center for Threat-Informed Defense (CTID) to advance 'the state of the art and the state of the practice in threat-informed defense globally.'
Fortinet joined CTID soon after its inception and quickly became one of its most active contributors. By 2022, Fortinet was an official CTID research partner.
