Cutting through security noise, Datadog's 2025 State of DevSecOps report finds most critical alerts aren't actually critical.
There is never a shortage of alerts for developers to examine. However, inside all the noise, not everything that initially appears to be a critical issue is, in fact, a severe issue that needs immediate attention.
That's one of the key findings from the Datadog 2025 State of DevSecOps report. The report found that the volume of security alerts has reached overwhelming proportions, with most "critical" vulnerabilities not actually warranting urgent attention when proper context is applied.
