The trouble for HPC is that all the growth is in that '-AI' suffix. 'HPC' isn't really the story.
As HPC professionals, we were quick to embrace AI as a new, high-growth application that leveraged HPC technologies-not just GPUs but also high-speed interconnects, parallel file systems, and high-bandwidth I/O. We welcomed AI at our conferences and incorporated it into our PowerPoints.
