Artificial intelligence (AI) is leading the way for mass adoption of confidential computing. Top AI providers Google and Anthropic have recently put more weight behind the technology to protect AI models and confidential data from being exposed. But there are challenges ahead. AI companies are relying on hardware vendors for the base technology, and each chipmaker has its own implementation.
AI models are in production after years of experimentation, and confidential computing is important in addressing data security and cybersecurity concerns, says Steven Dickens, principal analyst at HyperFrame Research.
