Given the massive interest surrounding artificial intelligence at present, it's not unreasonable to expect AI investments to top the list of priorities for modern IT organizations. Yet, data from this year's ITPro Today IT Priorities Survey shows that this is not the case. AI comes in a distant second behind cybersecurity as the chief area of focus for IT teams today.
What's more, this year's report shows that investment in key types of AI technology has barely changed from 2024, and in some respects has declined, despite the growing maturity of AI technology and sustained pressure on IT leaders to implement AI-powered solutions.
