Whichever car you've boarded on the AI train, it's going places, and not all of them good.
Earlier this year, we predicted that most threat actors would start using AI to enhance and automate attacks in 2025. So far, we've seen plenty of evidence of that, like threat actors using GenAI to create lookalike government websites, or capitalizing on AI hype to lure users to a fraudulent DeepSeek page.
In that same post, we also predicted that AI and automation would redefine threat detection and response. Indeed, most cybersecurity vendors now incorporate AI in their offerings in one way or another. But let's set that part of the conversation aside for a moment.
