SIM Women is delighted to welcome Dr. Keri Pearlson, Principal Research Scientist at MIT's Sloan School of Management, Leading Voice for the SIM Research Institute, and fellow SIM Women member for our October SIM Women webinar, "Cybersecurity Isn't Enough - The Case for Cyber Resilience."
Research shows that most organizations devote the bulk of their resources to preventing and detecting cyber threats, rather than on responding and recovering. This imbalance leaves them exposed to the unknown-such as new risks emerging from technologies like generative AI. Today's digital defense strategy requires a fundamental mindset shift: 'Assume a breach will occur and ensure the organization can recover rapidly with minimal disruption.' Drawing on her research, Keri will lead an engaging, interactive conversation about the organizational mindset shifts required to navigate the ever-evolving world of cybersecurity.
