AI Workloads To Dominate Data Centers Within Two Years - Report

Nearly half of those surveyed in a new industry report expect AI data centers to account for more than half of workloads within the next two years.
Escalating AI workloads are driving demand for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers and accelerating the divergence between traditional cloud infrastructure and next-generation facilities, according to Turner & Townsend's 2025 Data Center Construction Cost Index.
The report found that three-quarters of industry respondents are already working on AI data center projects, demonstrating how fundamentally this new technology is rapidly reshaping global infrastructure need
