This combination unlocks hi-capacity SMR drives for everyone, not just the hyperscalers, who today, have exclusive use of this technology.
The webinar will cover:
- Shingled Magnetic Recording drives (SMR's) - these offer high capacity storage, lower energy and lower cost per terabyte, allowing organizations to store more data at less cost.
- The Vault File System (VaultFS) enables using SMR drives out of the box. Clients get the same efficiencies enjoyed by the hyperscale companies, i.e. high performance, lower energy costs, Self-healing/managing distributed storage, and resilient, always-available data.
