We have written about a number of the advancements, such as breakthroughs over the past year or more by Google, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services to create quantum chips that can address the issue of error correction, a significant hurdle that needs to be cleared before commercial, fault-tolerant quantum systems can become a reality.
