AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud risk losing the next phase of the AI market by charging too much for the same level of compute.
Large cloud providers still want the market to believe that AI infrastructure is a premium business where customers pay premium prices. That argument worked when buyers had few alternatives, when access to advanced GPUs was restricted, and the operational maturity of the hyperscalers created an advantage that smaller competitors could not easily match.
