TruenNAS Expands Enterprise Portfolio With V160 Hybrid Storage System
StorageReview, Thursday, April 23rd, 2026
TrueNAS introduces V160, an enterprise hybrid storage system combining NVMe and HDD with up to 60 GB/s throughput.
TrueNAS has launched the V160, a new enterprise storage appliance built on dual AMD EPYC processors with PCIe 5.0 connectivity and up to 768GB DDR5 memory per controller. The hybrid system combines high-capacity HDD tiers with NVMe flash and adaptive caching, delivering up to 60 GB/s throughput and supporting expansion to over 1,400 drives with up to 35 PiB HDD or 20 PiB flash capacity.
The platform consolidates file, block, and S3-compatible object storage into a unified system without capacity-based licensing, optimized for high-throughput workloads including media production and AI pipelines.
The V160 includes built-in data efficiency features like adaptive compression and fast deduplication, runs TrueNAS Enterprise 25.10 with all major features enabled by default, and maintains a seven-year lifecycle with no required hardware refresh cycles or additional licensing.
