A school's Wi-Fi problems were caused by a construction crane's wireless controller interfering with the 2.4 GHz band.
An IT Support Manager at a K-12 school discovered that Windows laptops were experiencing intermittent connectivity issues and slow speeds in one area of the campus after new Wi-Fi infrastructure was installed. Investigation with a spectrum analyzer revealed the entire 2.4 GHz spectrum was blanketed by a strong signal, which they eventually traced to a crane operator's wireless remote control at an adjacent construction site...
