HPE announces new rugged ProLiant servers for AI inferencing and edge computing in harsh environments.
HPE has expanded its ProLiant edge compute portfolio with new hardware designed for AI inferencing and mission-critical applications in distributed or harsh environments, including the ProLiant Compute EL2000 chassis with Gen12 servers and an enhanced DL145 Gen11.
The EL2000 chassis supports Intel Xeon 6 processors with up to 144 cores and can accommodate NVIDIA RTX PRO GPUs for AI workloads, while the DL145 Gen11 features AMD EPYC 8005 series processors with up to 84 cores optimized for telco environments.
Both platforms include an Environmental Ruggedization Option Kit enabling operation in extreme temperatures (-40 to 55 degrees C), high altitudes, and hazardous conditions, targeting sectors like national security, manufacturing, and telecommunications. The systems provide enterprise-grade security, automated operations, and centralized management through HPE iLO and Compute Ops Management for remote edge deployments with minimal on-site staffing.
