KnowBe4's latest Phishing Threat Trends Report reveals 86% of phishing attacks are AI-driven with expanding attack vectors beyond email.

KnowBe4, a global leader in digital workforce security, released its Phishing Threat Trends Report Volume Seven, revealing significant shifts in phishing attack tactics. The report found that 86% of phishing attacks are now AI-driven and cybercriminals are expanding beyond traditional email to exploit calendar invitations, messaging tools, and Microsoft Teams.

Key findings include a 49% increase in calendar invite phishing, a 139% surge in Reverse Proxies for credential theft, and a 41% escalation in Teams attacks, alongside more targeted social engineering tactics. According to KnowBe4's SVP of Threat Intelligence Jack Chapman, phishing in 2026 is becoming increasingly disciplined, persistent, multi-channel, and AI-enabled, requiring organizations to focus on securing both humans and AI agents.
