Salesforce Agentic AI Platform Automates Backend Office Workflows

Salesforce launches Agentforce Operations platform using AI agents to automate and modernize back office workflows.

Salesforce has made generally available its Agentforce Operations platform, which uses specialized AI agents trained to autonomously complete back office tasks such as data extraction, computations, credit score updates, and compliance gap identification.

The platform, built on technology from the Regello acquisition, can create new workflows or modernize existing ones from documents or diagrams, and offers over 30 out-of-the-box blueprints for common tasks like invoice auditing and customer onboarding.

The AI agents can proactively flag delays and suggest workarounds while coordinating with humans only when necessary, with built-in observability capabilities for auditing agent actions.

Salesforce is encroaching on territory held by competitors like ServiceNow, SAP, and Oracle, positioning this as a means to drive business efficiency and ROI through deeper AI agent integration into its data model.
