Fortinet announces FortiGate 3500G and 400G firewalls with ASIC acceleration and AI security capabilities.
Fortinet announced two new G series FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls designed to deliver high-performance security for modern enterprise networks handling encrypted traffic and AI-driven workloads.
The FortiGate 3500G and 400G feature ASIC-accelerated performance, hardware-enforced security, and native shadow AI detection to provide visibility and control over unsanctioned AI usage. These firewalls eliminate the traditional trade-off between performance and security by combining advanced threat protection, integrated intelligence, and consistent operations across hybrid infrastructures.
The 3500G targets data center scale with 400Gb connectivity and verified trust capabilities, while the 400G modernizes the enterprise edge with simplified upgrades and operational consistency. Both models are powered by Fortinet's NP7 and SP5 processors and FortiOS operating system, integrated into the broader Fortinet Security Fabric platform.
