Veeam Kasten v9.0 delivers enterprise-scale Kubernetes data protection with enhanced performance, multi-workload resilience, and security features.
Veeam has announced Kasten v9.0, its most capable release for protecting Kubernetes workloads at enterprise scale. The release focuses on three key areas: enterprise choice and scale with significant performance optimizations that reduce memory consumption and improve export efficiency; multi-workload resilience including new support for AI databases, incremental VM backups via OpenShift Virtualization, and label-based VM policies; and enhanced security and observability with features like multi-cluster Kasten observability via Red Hat ACM and hardened pod configurations.
The platform now supports export to Veeam Vault on AWS, multiple export destinations in a single policy, and native integration with Veeam Backup & Replication for simplified recovery workflows.
