Barracuda Managed XDR launches Automated Threat Response for email, enabling real-time containment of threats in Microsoft 365.
Barracuda has introduced Automated Threat Response (ATR) for email within its Managed XDR service, enabling real-time containment of email-based threats in Microsoft 365 environments. The system can automatically disable suspected compromised accounts within seconds of detecting high-confidence threats, without requiring human intervention. This addresses the critical need for rapid response since email remains a primary attack vector, with phishing used in 16% of breaches according to the Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report.
Email ATR integrates with existing Barracuda XDR Email Security, XDR Cloud Security, and Email Protection services, compressing the window between threat detection and containment to prevent single clicks from escalating into major incidents.
