Okta expands AI agent security with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore integration and support for any identity provider.
Okta has extended its AI Agents platform to support new agent ecosystems, including an integration with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, and now works with any identity provider rather than requiring Okta-specific solutions. The update enables organizations to discover, onboard, protect, and govern AI agents across different platforms and deployments while maintaining a vendor-neutral approach.
With Gartner predicting Fortune 500 companies will have over 150,000 agents by 2028, the platform addresses critical security challenges including agent over-permissioning and unauthorized access to sensitive data. New capabilities include AI agent discovery and import, centralized agent registry, resource connection controls, lifecycle management, and rapid agent deactivation for incident response.
