Scaling Enterprise AI: Delivering Models-as-a-Service with Red Hat OpenShift AI 3.4

Red Hat Blog, Thursday, May 14th, 2026

Red Hat OpenShift AI 3.4 delivers Models-as-a-Service with centralized governance, self-service access, and enterprise-grade control for scaling AI infrastructure.

Red Hat OpenShift AI 3.4 enables enterprises to deliver Models-as-a-Service (MaaS) by providing centralized AI governance, eliminating shadow AI through unified resource management with token quotas, rate limits, and API keys.

The platform offers self-service developer access to approved models with Kubernetes-native control powered by Red Hat Connectivity Link, supporting both locally-hosted and external models. Key features include showback dashboards for cost tracking and token consumption visibility, enterprise authentication via Authorino with support for Azure AD and Okta, and OpenAI-compatible endpoints that abstract model location from applications.

No additional tooling or separate lifecycle management is required, as MaaS capabilities are built directly into OpenShift AI 3.4 with integrated governance and compliance features.
