SAP announced five new sustainability AI agents that will be generally available by end of 2026, designed to help organizations automate complex sustainability workflows including regulatory reporting, carbon footprint simulation, packaging compliance, GHS classification, and workplace safety.
The agents deliver measurable results such as over 50% reduction in compliance review hours, scenario simulation time cut from one day to 20 minutes, and up to 80% reduction in manual GHS classification effort.
The solutions address critical business needs across finance, procurement, supply chain, and operations by embedding sustainability decisions into everyday enterprise workflows and enabling transaction-level analysis. These agents represent a step toward the "Autonomous Enterprise" where sustainability policies execute automatically within business processes rather than remaining separate compliance activities.
