AWS launches full repository code review for AWS Security Agent in preview, enabling deep architectural security analysis beyond traditional pattern-matching.
AWS has released full repository code review as a new capability in AWS Security Agent, now available in preview at no extra cost to existing customers. Unlike traditional static analysis tools that rely on pattern matching, this feature performs context-aware security analysis by reasoning about application architecture, trust boundaries, and data flows to identify systemic vulnerabilities and chained exploits.
The findings include developer-ready remediation with specific file and line references, enabling teams to address security issues faster. This capability is part of AWS's broader Security Agent suite, which includes design review and penetration testing features, and represents a shift toward AI-assisted security that understands application design rather than just code patterns.
