Defending Your Enterprise at the Speed of AI

Snowflake, Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026

Snowflake announces new AI security capabilities to protect enterprises against autonomous AI agent risks.

Snowflake has introduced a comprehensive suite of enterprise-grade security features designed to protect data and AI workloads as autonomous AI agents become more prevalent in business operations. The announcements include Agent Identity for auditability, Horizon AI Guardrails for prompt injection defense, Data Movement Policies to prevent unauthorized data exfiltration, Multi-Party Approval for ransomware protection, and enhanced backup capabilities.

These security controls address three core areas: agent security, data security, and platform-level security, all integrated with Snowflake Horizon Catalog to provide consistent governance across the data estate. The initiatives aim to enable organizations to deploy AI applications at scale while maintaining data integrity and regulatory compliance in the face of evolving security threats.
