Snowflake announces CoCo, an AI coding agent for enterprise data workflows, with new desktop, mobile, and integration capabilities.
Snowflake unveiled major enhancements to Snowflake CoCo (formerly Cortex Code), an AI coding agent designed to accelerate enterprise AI development by automating complex data workflows and app development.
The platform now offers native desktop applications, mobile app access, and integrations with popular tools like VS Code, Microsoft Excel, and Claude Code, allowing developers to work seamlessly across their preferred environments. CoCo can execute tasks autonomously through new Cloud Agents and Automations features while maintaining security through Snowflake's governance controls.
Snowflake also introduced Snowflake Datastream 6, a fully managed streaming service for Apache Kafka that brings real-time data directly into the platform, enabling organizations to build production-ready AI apps without separate infrastructure management.
Leading companies like Fanatics, Thomson Reuters, and WHOOP are already using CoCo to significantly reduce development time and enable broader teams to contribute to enterprise AI initiatives.
