Introducing New Capabilities to GPT-Rosalind
OpenAI, Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026
OpenAI releases an updated GPT-Rosalind model with enhanced capabilities for enterprise-scale life sciences research.
OpenAI has announced a new model update to its GPT-Rosalind series, specifically designed for life sciences research at enterprise scale.
The update combines GPT-5.5's agentic coding and tool-use capabilities with stronger intelligence in core drug-discovery domains such as medicinal chemistry and genomics. To measure and improve real-world impact, OpenAI designed LifeSciBench, an externally expert-judged benchmark covering six workflow areas central to life sciences research.
GPT-Rosalind is now available in research preview to eligible organizations globally through OpenAI's trusted-access deployment structure.
