Fortinet Achieves AV-Comparatives Certification for Process Injection Protection

Fortinet, Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026

FortiEDR achieves AV-Comparatives certification by detecting all 15 advanced process injection and shellcode execution techniques.

Fortinet announced that FortiEDR has achieved AV-Comparatives 2026 certification for Process Injection Protection, successfully preventing or detecting all 15 shellcode execution and process injection techniques evaluated in the test with a 100% protection rate and zero false positives.

The certification validates Fortinet's prevention-first approach to endpoint security against advanced in-memory attack techniques mapped to MITRE ATT&CK T1055, significantly exceeding the requirement of detecting at least 10 of 15 techniques.

These evasive techniques are commonly used by attackers for defensive evasion, privilege escalation, fileless malware execution, and lateral movement. The same validated EDR capabilities are available through FortiEndpoint, Fortinet's unified endpoint platform that combines EPP, EDR, ZTNA/VPN, DLP, and other security functions into a single agent and console.
