Veeam Says Enterprises Need AI Agents To Monitor AI Agents

Blocks & Files, Friday, June 5th, 2026

Veeam launches AI agents to monitor other AI agents and ensure compliance with evolving data governance regulations.

Veeam has introduced three new AI agents designed to help enterprises monitor data access activities and ensure compliance as AI agent adoption outpaces governance capabilities.

The company's Data & AI Trust Gap report reveals that 88% of executives use or pilot AI agents, yet only 28% are confident in detecting systems operating outside approved parameters, and 95% report data challenges slowing AI progress.

Veeam's solution includes a Consent Agent for GDPR/CCPA compliance, a Data Subject Request Agent for handling privacy requests, and an Assessment Agent for generating compliance assessments. The initiative addresses a critical gap where unauthorized AI use is widespread (95% of organizations) and many lack the ability to precisely isolate and reverse AI failures.
