Direct Agents with Visual Prompts in Design Mode
Cursor, Friday, June 5th, 2026
Cursor's updated Design Mode lets you direct AI agents through visual prompts like clicking, drawing, and voice commands for faster UI iteration.
Cursor has enhanced its Design Mode to enable designers, PMs, and developers to direct agents visually by clicking elements, drawing annotations, or narrating changes rather than writing text instructions.
The agent receives both semantic context (element identity, code) and spatial context (screenshots, layout) to understand exactly what changes are needed. Design Mode supports multi-select for related components, drawing regions on the page, and voice input, making the iteration loop faster and more intuitive.
Combined with Composer 2.5's speed and UI expertise, the feature allows developers to maintain flow state while making rapid, targeted design changes that hot reload in the running application.
