NVIDIA and Microsoft launched the RTX Spark, an Arm-based chip enabling locally-run AI agents on Windows PCs.
NVIDIA and Microsoft unveiled the RTX Spark, a collaboration bringing advanced AI capabilities to consumer laptops and desktops.
The chip pairs a Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and a 20-core Grace CPU developed with MediaTek, delivering up to 1 petaflop of AI performance and supporting 128GB of unified memory.
Microsoft contributes Windows security and containment features, while NVIDIA provides an OpenShell runtime to govern agent actions and decide when queries stay local versus cloud. First systems ship this fall from major manufacturers, including Microsoft's Surface Laptop Ultra. The move marks NVIDIA's entry into the PC processor market dominated by Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, and Apple.
