This week's Java roundup highlights developments across the ecosystem. On OpenJDK, JEP 538 remains in preview for JDK 27 due to community feedback, JEP 528 reverted to candidate status, and JEP 536 advanced to targeted status.
Framework releases include Hazelcast Platform 5.7.0 with JDK 25 support, Quarkus 3.36.0 with an experimental Signals extension, Hibernate ORM 7.4.0 adding Google Cloud Spanner support, and JHipster 9.1.0 with improved security utilities.
Koog reached its first stable 1.0 release with enhanced agent capabilities, and Spring AI delivered its eighth milestone. The Bytecode Alliance also introduced Endive, a JVM-native WebAssembly runtime that executes Wasm without requiring JNI or native libraries.
