F5 announced enhanced Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) solutions to counter frontier AI models that accelerate exploitation timelines. The company expanded its AI-powered WAF with dynamic risk scoring that moves beyond signature matching by analyzing multiple attack indicators via a continuously trained neural network.
F5 also introduced an API Security Local Edition for air-gapped, regulated, on-premises environments, plus virtual patching that provides immediate protection while organizations complete formal remediation. These capabilities aim to help enterprises maintain their security posture as the window between vulnerability discovery and exploitation has dramatically compressed.
