The global cybersecurity market is projected to reach $521.7 billion by 2031 at a 7.6% CAGR, up from an estimated $335.8 billion in 2025, according to a Futurum Group report.
The fastest-growing segments are cloud security (12%), security operations and GRC (10%), data security (9%), and application security (8%). Because the market historically grew 14-18%, the projection signals a contraction in spending growth.
A bullish scenario assumes faster AI security spending, while a bearish 5.0% CAGR estimate would yield $449 billion by 2031. A survey of 929 cybersecurity leaders found 67% anticipate budget increases over the next 12 months.
